Girl brings pellet gun to Longview school

The Associated Press

LONGVIEW — A 12-year-old girl brought a pellet gun to Monticello Middle School in Longview and showed it to a friend in the locker room during gym class.

School district spokeswoman Sandy Catt says the friend told a teacher who confiscated the air gun Monday along with a bag of pellets.

Catt told The Daily News the girl did not threaten anyone. Parents were notified.

Administrators are deciding whether the girl should be expelled.
