Officer shoots pit bull dog near Moclips

The Associated Press

ABERDEEN — Grays Harbor sheriff’s detectives and Hoquiam police were serving arrest warrants on a couple Thursday near Moclips when the woman’s pit bull attacked a Hoquiam officer, and the officer shot the dog.

The dog suffered a serious wound and was taken to an Aberdeen veterinary clinic.

KXRO reports the dog had been declared potentially dangerous after complaints in 2009 and 2010 in Hoquiam.
