Snow in higher spots: Some in the Seattle area may see snowflakes this morning, with the snow level at 900 feet, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will warm up a bit after 11 a.m., but could drop early next week with a chance of more snow showers Monday night. It’s officially time to winterize cars and homes.
Flower-shop burglary: A robbery suspect wearing distinctive red-soled tennis shoes was apprehended by police after the owner of a Seattle flower shop recognized the suspect as the one who had robbed the flower store a few days earlier. We’ve heard of thieves caught red-handed, but red-footed?
Time bandits: A group of muggers has been asking their victims if they have the time before relieving them of their valuables. Detectives believe the group is responsible for as many as nine street robberies or thefts from Columbia City to Rainier Beach between Dec. 4 and Dec. 11. In four of the incidents, a suspect had a handgun. Detectives have not yet identified the suspects, and are soliciting tips.
