Text message warns of severe weather — even where it will be less severe
KING 5 reports that residents in King County, and from Lewis to Clallam counties, received a text message on their phones this afternoon, warning of “Imminent Severe Weather.”
Customers of Verizon, TMobile and other carriers read this: “Blizzard warning this area til 6:00 PM PST Mon. Prepare. Avoid Travel. Check media. – NWS”
KING says, “When we clarified via the KING 5 Facebook page that the warning is for the Cascades, people responded with relief that there was no real emergency.
