Bellingham police looking for hit-and-run driver

The Bellingham Police Department is looking for a hit-and-run driver who left an 18-year-old with serious injuries Friday night.

Around 11 p.m. Friday night, an older, “boxy” gray car without its lights on drove through a crowd of 12-15 pedestrians crossing the street near the intersection of Otis Street and Abbott Street. The 18-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and a second 19-year-old victim was also hurt, but not hospitalized.

The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run should have front-end damage, according to police.

Anyone with information concerning this hit and run is asked to please call Bellingham Police Department Officer Henry Ortega at 360-778-8628.
