Bremerton woman wants trip to jail; smacks officer’s nose

A Bremerton police officer who told a woman she couldn’t have a trip to jail because she hadn’t committed a crime got a smack in the nose with a pop bottle for his response. And she got her wish.

Police reports show Officer Jason Glasgow met the 33-year-old Bremerton woman when he was called to a convenience store Saturday night. She was holding a 20-ounce plastic pop bottle and explained her request.

The Kitsap Sun reports that the officer said they’d have to find an alternative. She reportedly asked angrily “What if I assault you?” and swung the bottle, hitting him in the nose.

The report says the woman then turned around, hands behind her back, waiting for handcuffs. She was booked into jail for investigation of felony assault of a police officer.

Glasgow reported a red nose.
