UPDATE 6:05 P.M.| No injuries have been reported so far in the fire at Tra-Lee apartments, according to KING 5.
About 70 fire personnel from several fire departments were called to the scene to get the fire under control, according to King County Fire District 20 spokesman David Nelson. The Seattle Fire Department was initially called to assist, but dispatchers said other departments gained control of the fire before any of its units could respond, according to department spokesman Kyle Moore.
Initial inspections show six units have heavy fire damage, 12 do not have power, and several have heavy water damage, according to Nelson. King County Fire District 2, which provides service for Burien and Normandy Park, and the King County Sheriff’s Office will investigate the cause of the fire.
A blaze erupted at a Burien apartment complex Monday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. according to King County Fire District 2.
The building, located near Southwest 124th Street and Ambaum Boulevard Southwest, is four stories high, according to the fire department.
