Friday Memo: Ryan Leaf woes … 787 poll … Bed bugs

National Weather Service / Forecast
Foggy and cold: We know you’re getting used to it so it won’t be a shock to learn it’s going to be cold and foggy into next week, says the National Weather Service. That also means the air isn’t moving and that’s ideal for pollution to hang around. But by Tuesday or Wednesday, we could have rain in the Puget Sound area. That sounds more like the Seattle we know.

Former Coug and NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf and his troubles: One might hope that Leaf, whose drug problems landed him in a Montana prison, might have had a chance to make things better through a state-sponsored, locked drug-rehab program, but he was kicked out and put back in prison after violating conditions of the program and threatening a staffer. Since leaving WSU and the NFL, Leaf has pretty much made a mess. Seattle Times sports writer Danny O’Neill profiled him last year.
