Honking man gets busted

The Associated Press

A man who kept blasting his car horn outside the Aberdeen police station in a vain attempt to have a word with a jailed inmate ended up in the clink himself.

The 26-year-old man pulled into the department’s parking lot Monday and honked his horn until an officer went out to see what was up and ended up arresting the man for obstructing an officer.

The man told police it was an emergency and that they needed to bring out the jailed inmate so he could talk with him.

KXRO reports the driver refused to identify himself, although he did say he was armed with a knife.

The inmate was never brought out and the honking man went in.
