Load of apples tumbles onto I-405

WSDOT traffic cameras caught this picture of some of the spilled apples on Interstate 405.

If you’re in the mood for applesauce, just drive northbound on Interstate 405 at Highway 520 and you’ll see a load of apples that was were unleashed on the freeway around 5 p.m.

Traffic cameras caught some of the load still on the road, but most of the fruit is on the side. Maybe making the roads sticky will make them less slippery when temperatures dropĀ  tonight.

The drivers getting smashed apples on their vehicles today are lucky compared to the people who drove through a truckload of chicken manure that was dropped on the freeway last summer.
