Maloney, Noble-Gulliford named to Federal Way City Council

The Federal Way City Council has selected Kelly Maloney and Diana Noble-Gulliford to fill two vacancies on the council.

The vacancies were created when former councilmembers Roger Freeman and Linda Kochmar were elected to the state House of Representatives in November.

The appointments of Maloney and Noble-Gulliford came after a day-long interview and selection process. They were sworn in on Saturday.

“On behalf of the Council and the Mayor, I’d like to thank all the applicants for their time and their thoughtful participation.” Deputy Mayor Jim Ferrell said in a news release. “The fact that we had 20 qualified candidates volunteering to serve on the Council indicates that citizen democracy is alive and well in Federal Way.”
