Neighbors who saw smoke reported the fire Monday night. Firefighters put out a small fire and found the body.
One neighbor told KING a woman lived alone in the apartment.

Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1, said the body of an adult was found by firefighters after a 6 p.m. fire at the Gateway Apartments along 240th Street Southwest
No other information about the victim was immediately available. Hynes said the fire was confined to a single apartment, and no one else was injured.
