Woman stabbed near Seattle’s Victor Steinbrueck Park

A woman was stabbed in the abdomen near Victor Steinbrueck Park tonight in what Seattle police are saying was “an apparent drug dispute gone bad.” She was sent to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

Another woman stabbed the victim, believed to be in her 30s, with a knife around 7:17 p.m. near the intersection of Western Avenue and Virginia Street. According to scanner traffic, she was also cut or scraped at the base of her neck.

An off-duty federal officer who witnessed the altercation intervened by holding the suspect at bay until officers arrived and took her into custody.
