2-year term for Ferndale driver who punched jogger
BELLINGHAM (AP) — A driver who broke a jogger’s jaw in a road rage confrontation at Ferndale was sentenced Thursday to more than two years in prison for assault.
The Bellingham Herald reports it happened last July after the jogger made a rude gesture at a car.
The driver, 30-year-old Gavin J. Haggith of Ferndale, stopped and punched the jogger in full view of neighbors.
Haggith faces more charges in Bellingham. He’s accused of taking tools from a construction site and rioting while held in the Whatcom County Jail.
