Car strikes 2 pedestrians in Seattle’s U District; 1 in serious condition

A Honda struck two pedestrians in Seattle’s University District this evening, leaving one with serious injuries.

Medics took two women in their late teens, one with a serious head injury, to Harborview Medical Center, according to the Seattle Fire Department. The other woman is in stable condition.

Seattle police said the Honda hit the women near the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue Northeast and Northeast Campus Parkway. The southbound lanes of Brooklyn Avenue NE are closed at NE Campus Parkway as officers continue investigating what caused the accident.
