Man arrested for attempted burglary in West Seattle
A 24-year-old man was arrested Friday after police say he was spotted trying to break into a West Seattle home.
Shortly after 1 p.m., police said, a witness reported seeing a man trying to break into the rear door of a house in the 5000 block of 35th Avenue Southwest.
After officers arrived they saw the man trying to escape from the yard. He fled out of the south gate but an officer stopped him before he could escape into nearby Camp Long.
The suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail for investigation of burglary.
