Motorcycle passenger killed in Skagit car crash
A car rammed into a motorcycle in Skagit County Saturday evening, killing a passenger on the motorcycle.
The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. outside Sedro-Woolley, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The motorcycle was stopped on Cook Road, about to turn left, when a 2001 Honda Accord failed to stop and plowed into it. The car’s driver, a 76 year-old man from Sedro-Woolley was booked into Skagit County Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
Kathleen L. Mask, 55, of Sedro-Woolley was pronounced dead at Skagit Valley Hospital. She was wearing a helmet, according to the State Patrol. The motorcycle driver, also of Sedro-Woolley was treated at the hospital. The car driver was not injured.
