Woman suspected in Marysville homicide
A 28-year-old Marysville woman in custody on an unrelated crime is suspected of the slaying of a man last month in his home, Marysville police said this morning.
The woman’s arrest was based on information supplied by a confidential informant, police said. The woman had also told others about her role in the homicide, accfording to police.
Arthur Schroeder, 82, was found slain his Marysville mobile home on Jan. 25. The home had been ransacked, and his pickup had been stolen. The vehicle was later found burned out in a rural area north of Arlington.
Schroeder’s daughter, Bobby Schroeder, said her father kept cash hidden in his home at Brookside Mobile RV Park.
“This investigation is not yet complete,” Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said in a news release. “We anticipate additional arrests will be made in the coming days for others who were either directly involved in the murder or participated after the fact.”
