A woman escaped from a man who attacked her as she walked home in the Northgate Mall area Friday night, Seattle police reported.
The victim fought the man, who grabbed her, pulled her into a weeded area and sexually assaulted her around 7 p.m. She broke away from him and ran from the scene.
When the woman got home, her roommate called police, who were unable to find the attacker. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Police described the attacker as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, with very short, light-colored hair. The victim told police he had the look of a meth addict, with very bad teeth, sunken eyes and a wiry build.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Seattle Police Department at 911.
