Double-slaying suspect Michael (Chad) Boysen is an “extreme danger” to the public and to the police, and he may be seeking to obtain firearms, the King County Sheriff’s Office said this evening.
Boysen is wanted in connection with the slayings of his 82-year-old grandfather and 80-year-old grandmother in the Renton area. He was released Friday after serving a nine-month prison sentence, and his grandparents — whose names have not been released — were slain some time Friday night or Saturday morning.
Detectives said Boysen was doing Internet searches for gun shows all across the Pacific Northwest and Nevada just before or after the slayings.
He is believed to be driving a red, 2001 Chrysler 300 with the Washington license plate 046-XXU.
Boysen is 5 foot 10 and about 170 pounds. He has hazel eyes and is 26 years old. Police are urging anyone who spots his vehicle to call 911 immediately.
