Fatal accident scene discovered in Redmond

A body was discovered today in Redmond at the scene of a fatal accident that King County Sheriff detectives think happened weeks ago.

The body, found near Novelty Hill Road and Redmond Ridge Drive Northeast, is estimated to be a man in his 60s, but detectives will need the King County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine who he was, said Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Office.

West said it looks like the accident victim’s vehicle left the road at a high speed, but detectives don’t know why.
