Man wounded in drive-by shooting in North Seattle
Seattle police say a man who was wounded in a drive-by shooting last night had also been wounded in an earlier shooting.
Police were alerted to last night’s shooting around 11:15 p.m. and were told the victim was being taken by private car to Harborview Medical Center.
Gang Unit detectives went to Harborview and found the victim, who told police he was walking near Northeast 140th Street and 32nd Avenue Northeast when someone in a car shot at him, striking him in the buttocks. The injury is not life-threatening, police said.
This is the second time the man has been injured in a shooting in the Lake City area in the past two years, according to police. Details from the earlier shooting were not immediately available.
The victim told detectives he has no idea why anyone would shoot him.
