Marijuana growing operation planned at Raymond

RAYMOND, Pacific County (AP) — The Port of Willapa Harbor is ready to lease buildings at an old log yard in Raymond for a large-scale marijuana growing operation.

The port manager and mayor told The Olympian they hope the operation would bring 30 to 40 jobs to the community.

The lease depends on Marcus Charles obtaining a growing license from the state Liquor Control Board and it’s still writing the rules.
