Teenage girl seriously injured in Puyallup hit-and-run
A teenage girl was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Puyallup this evening, according to the Puyallup Police Department. She’s been taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma.
After the teen went shopping at Golden Rule Grocery, she was struck while using a crosswalk in the 600 block of West Stewart Avenue at about 7:30 p.m., said Capt. Scott Engle.
Detectives think the vehicle that hit the teen and fled eastbound on West Stewart Avenue may have been an SUV, possibly a Chevy Suburban or Tahoe.
The area around the 600 block of West Stewart Avenue has been blocked off as police continue investigating the accident scene.
