Police release video of suspects in armed robbery of teens in West Seattle
Seattle police have released video of men suspected of robbing two teens at gunpoint in West Seattle last month.
A store’s surveillance camera caught video of two of the three suspected robbers.
The men robbed the teens near 42nd Avenue Southwest and Southwest Alaska Street on Feb. 2 around 11:30 p.m. One suspect asked for change and then grabbed the victim’s cash and started to walk away.
When the victim asked for his cash back, two suspects pulled out guns and stole the group of teens’ backpacks, wallets and cellphones.
It’s unknown whether the suspects in the video are connected to multiple robberies of teens and children in West Seattle since January, but police spokeswoman Renee Witt said detectives have not ruled that possibility out.
Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspects in the video to call their robbery unit at 206-684-5535.
