Porta-potty serial arsonist sought
CAMAS, Clark County — Officials are searching for a serial arsonist who is targeting porta-potties in Camas and to catch the culprit, authorities are offering a reward for the public’s help.
Five portable toilets that were located in public areas have been destroyed by fire since March 5, according to a bulletin issued by Camas police. The initial investigation has clearly shown these cases to be related and a direct result of arson, the bulletin states.
The Arson Alarm Foundation and Washington Insurance Council are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects.
Those with information about the fires are asked to call Camas police at 360-834-4151, the Camas Fire Marshal at 360-834-6191 or 1-800-55-ARSON (47766).
