Ten days of online bidding yielded a high bid of $71,100 for Seattle’s 1927-vintage fireboat Alki Thursday, but city officials say it could be weeks before the high bidder is identified.

Before then, the high bidder must meet certain requirements, including demonstrating that he or she has the required insurance and moorage.
