St. Pat’s dash closes Aurora Bridge, Alaskan Viaduct
The Aurora Bridge, the Alaskan Way Viaduct and streets near Seattle Center are closed Sunday morning so thousands or runners, many in zany costumes, can participate in the St. Patrick’s Day Dash.
The race, which benefits children’s charities, loops from Seattle Center up Highway 99 to the Aurora Avenue Bridge and then back. According to the Seattle Department of Transportation, the Alaskan Way Viaduct and Aurora Avenue North — between the Western Avenue off-ramp and North 39th Streeet (north of the Aurora Bridge) — will be closed until approximately 11 a.m.
