Wednesday Memo: Sacramento arena plan … 25,000 jobs … Nice weather!
A new arena in Sacramento? What’s this? Is basketball coming to Seattle or not? The saga continues … Sacramento City Council approves terms of new downtown arena. We’d like the saga to end.
A lot of unfilled high-tech jobs in our state: We’re talking 25,000 of them. Can that be? A business group is asking lawmakers to provide more money for higher ed and tech training after a study that says there are that many unfilled high-skill jobs in Washington. Got jobs, need ed money, why not do it?
60 degree weather? The next several days could be nice. One TV meteorologist says 65 degrees on Saturday. What is this, spring or something?
The octopus mural: Remember the mural that was painted on the wall of a biz in Walla Walla, the one the powers-that-be there said had to come down? Well the store owner has until today to take it down. He says he’ll continue the fight to keep it up there.
