The state has canceled its plans to close three lanes of Interstate 5 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights because of expected rain, spokeswoman Broch Bender said in a morning update.
So drivers should be able to travel without delays.
The work involves applying polymer coatings to fill some ruts in the concrete decks, and applying rubber sealant to the expansion joints. Both tasks require dry weather. Originally those jobs were part of an April 6-7 weekend closure, but those were rained out. The DOT hasn’t yet estimated when it might try again.
