Edmonds man suffers life-threatening injuries in fire
A 67-year old Edmonds man who was pulled from a fire that started in the kitchen of his condo Sunday had life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters arrived at the 7400 block of 212th Street Southwest around 8:15 a.m. to find smoke coming out of the first-floor unit. They rushed to pull the man out of the building, and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Authorities said there was a smoke alarm, but the batteries had been removed. The fire caused $30,000 in damage.
Snohomish County Fire District 1 is still investigating the cause of the fire.
