ID of South Seattle homicide victim released
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the name of a man who died following a shooting in South Seattle Wednesday night.
Ritchie Williams, 37, died of a gunshot wound to the head Thursday morning after being taken to Harborview Medical Center. Williams and another man were shot in front of a house near South Austin Street and Rainier Avenue South.
The man who survived flagged down Seattle Police Department officers near South Fontanelle Street for help.
Homicide detectives still have no description of any possible suspects or of how the men were attacked, according to Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel.
