Man assaulted, robbed in south Seattle home
Seattle police are investigating a robbery and sexual assault at a home in South Seattle Sunday afternoon.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was attempting to sell a Kindle to a man he met on a social networking site, police said. The robber came to the victim’s house in the 2000 block of 32nd Avenue South, pretended to show interest in the Kindle, and then pulled out a small handgun. The robber threatened the victim, directed him to the bedroom and sexually assaulted him.
After the assault, the robber went into the bathroom, while the victim was able to climb out a bedroom window and get help from a neighbor, police said. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
Police believe the robber stole the Kindle, an iPad and an iPhone from the victim’s house. They are investigating.
