Man victim of apparent knife attack in Edmonds

Edmonds police are investigating a stabbing that apparently happened earlier today in the city.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 23800 block of 84th Avenue West around 3:40 p.m. after receiving a report of a man walking down the street with blood on his head and clothing. Officers found the man had suffered  stab wounds to his back, police said.

The man was only able to tell officers that the assailant was tall and wore eyeglasses before medics treated him and then took him to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.

Police say it wasn’t immediately clear where the assault occurred nor the circumstances.
