Muggers add insult to robbery; force victim to drop pants

Police say they arrested two men in downtown Seattle early Tuesday morning after they punched a man, stole his liquor and forced him to pull down his pants.

The victim, a  22-year-old man, was waiting for a bus at Third Avenue and Pine Street just before 2 a.m. when five men surrounded  him and said he “owed” them. The men then reached into the victim’s coat and took a bottle of vodka, grabbed his victim’s Angry Birds cap and punched him in the face.

The muggers then then told the victim to pull down his pants, police said.

One of the muggers  encouraged people on the street to take pictures of the victim, who quickly pulled up his pants and ran off.

The victim borrowed a cellphone and called 911.

Responding officers arrested two men at Second Avenue and Pike Street. One was wearing the Angry Birds cap, police said.

The two men were booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery.
