Seattle woman’s car stolen following home-invasion robbery
Seattle police are looking for three men who kicked in a woman’s door this morning and stole her car.
The woman was asleep in her apartment in the 7900 block of Ninth Avenue Southwest just before 7 a.m. when she heard someone kicking in the front door, police said. She started screaming as a man walked into her bedroom, climbed on top of her and put his hand over her mouth, according to police.
The man demanded the woman’s car keys and purse, striking her once on the face. The man took her purse and car keys and then fled, police said.
The woman thought at least two others were rummaging around her apartment, police said. She was able to run out the back door to the home of a neighbor, who called police.
The woman and her neighbor saw three men driving away in the victim’s car, a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu, police said.
Police responded but could not find the men or the victim’s car. Seattle Fire Department medics treated the woman for a bloody nose.
