Victim of South Seattle shooting dies
UPDATE 3:16 P.M.| Seattle police said one of the two men who was shot in South Seattle on Wednesday night died at Harborview Medical Center on Thursday afternoon.
The name of the 37-year-old man has not been released. Police said he had been shot in the head.
UPDATE 9:05 a.m.| Harborview Medical Center reports the two victims in last night’s South Seattle shooting are in intensive care. One is in critical condtion; the other is in serious condition.
Two men were shot several times in South Seattle Wednesday night. Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of South Austin Street and Rainier Avenue South, according to Seattle Police spokesman Mark Jamieson. One victim ran to the intersection and collapsed.
The other victim was able to run to Rainier Avenue South to South Fontanelle Street, where he flagged down an officer.
Detectives from the Homicide and Assault Unit are investigating the incident.
