3 Seattle marijuana dispensaries broken into overnight

Three marijuana dispensaries were the target of break-ins early this morning, and one was the site of a suspicious fire, according to Seattle police. It wasn’t known whether anything was taken in any of the burglaries, which follow break-ins at two marijuana dispensaries last week.

The fire was inside a dispensary on Northwest Market Street. Police got a call at about 1:20 a.m. reporting smoke pouring from the dispensary, according to the department’s blog. Arson/Bomb Squad officers were sent to the scene to investigate.

At about 2 a.m., the front widow was broken out at a dispensary on Northwest 85th Street in Greenwood. Witnesses described the culprits as two men dressed in gray and black who had hidden in shrubbery near the dispensary, police say. The men fled before police arrived.

A dispensary on Aurora Avenue North was the target of a break-in just before 5 a.m., police say. In an effort to enter, the burglars pried at the door, kicked it and used a blow torch, according to the blog post.

Seattle police ask anybody with information about the break-ins or the other recent burglaries to phone the North Precinct at 206-684-5735.
