Man walking dog in West Seattle shot in mouth

Seattle police say a man was shot in the mouth while walking his dog in West Seattle this afternoon.

At about 4:56 p.m., the 31-year-old man was walking northbound on the east side of the 4700 block of 38th Avenue Southwest when an unknown projectile, possibly a bb or pellet, struck him in the right cheek. Witnesses helped him to nearby Fire Station 32, where medics then picked him up and took him to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition, according to Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore.

Police say they have located a possible suspect at his home and are now interviewing him.
