Man who ran into I-405 traffic critically injured
A man in his 20s was struck by a vehicle and critically injured when he darted into traffic on Interstate 405 just before 11 p.m. last night.
The man had been riding in a car with a woman, northbound near Coal Creek, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Julie Judson. The woman, who was driving the vehicle, pulled to the side of the road, and the pair got into an argument, Judson said.
“The male passenger was upset, and he left the vehicle and ran into traffic,” Judson said. He was struck by a Jeep Cherokee and flung into the HOV lane. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The driver of the Jeep was uninjured.
