Man wounded in drive-by shooting near Green Lake

A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting this morning after he argued with several people in a car north of Green Lake, police said.

The victim and his brother were crossing Aurora Avenue North at North 80th Street just before 2 a.m. when a car with several occupants drove up, according to police. The car stopped and the occupants got into an argument with the two brothers.

The car drove off but circled back and one of the occupants opened fire, hitting the victim in the torso, police said.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

Police said the brother who was not wounded was too intoxicated to provide a suspect description.
