Pedestrian killed in Seattle hit-and-run

A dead man was found lying in a Seattle street, and police are investigating his death as a hit-an-run collision.

Police said that, based on physical evidence, the deceased man appeared to have been dragged by a vehicle after being struck.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 4:41 a.m. today and found a body in the street in the 1200 block of South Dearborn Street. The man, who police presume was a pedestrian, was declared dead at the scene.

Traffic collision detectives will lead the investigation. Police did not identify the deceased man except to say he was 34.
