Puyallup High student arrested for allegedly bringing gun to school
An 11th-grade student at Puyallup High School was arrested today for allegedly possessing a handgun on campus the day before, according to Puyallup police.
A school resource officer was alerted this morning that the student had been seen on campus Thursday with a handgun. During the investigation, the school was placed on lockdown while officers looked for the 17-year-old boy.
The student was located at his home, where he was arrested. Officers recovered an Airsoft pistol from the student, police said. It’s unclear whether that was the handgun he was seen with at school.
The student was booked into Remann Hall for investigation of unlawful possession of a weapon on school grounds.
