Oregon State Police say a Federal Way man was transporting 11 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car

A Federal Way man is awaiting arraignment in Oregon after state police reported finding 11 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car.

Oregon State Police said a trooper stopped the 32-year-old man June 21 for speeding on Interstate 5, just south of Eugene. Police said a subsequent investigation led to the discovery of 11 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the 2013 Nissan Altima. They estimated the street value of the marijuana at $25,000.

An official with the Lane County District Attorney’s office said that although the man was arrested for unlawful delivery and unlawful possession of marijuana, he has not been officially charged yet. His arraignment is scheduled for July 5.
