Federal Way surf fisherman found dead at Ocean Shores

UPDATE, 5:27 p.m. | King County Sheriff’s officials located the second man alive this morning in the Seattle area. He hadn’t accompanied Inocencio on the fishing trip.

ORIGINAL POST | OCEAN SHORES (AP) — The Coast Guard and deputies are searching for a second possible body after a surf fisherman was found dead Sunday at Ocean Shores.

The sheriff’s office tells KBKW  a beachcomber spotted the body Sunday of a 65-year-old Federal Way man. His family says he planned to fish with a friend.

A surf fisherman found dead at Ocean Shores has been identified as a 65-year-old Federal Way man.

KXRO reports he was identified by the Grays Harbor sheriff’s office as Antonio Inocencio. He apparently was knocked down by a wave and drowned.

The body was spotted Sunday by a beachcomber.

Deputies and the Coast Guard had been looking for a possible second victim, a friend also thought to have gone fishing.

KBKW reports investigators determined the friend did not go along on the fishing trip and is safe.
