A 27-year-old man who died in a skydiving accident last Friday has been identified as Glen Leland Hobbs Jr. of Kirkland.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office said Hobbs died of an intracranial hemorrhage and several other extremity fractures.
Hobbs had been skydiving with a group of people above Harvey Field with a company called Skydive Snohomish, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses of the accident said Hobbs deployed his parachute, but still landed too fast. He was declared dead at the scene.
Elaine Harvey, a spokeswoman for Skydive Snohomish, said Hobbs was an experienced skydiver with a history of over 400 jumps. His injuries were sustained while attempting to execute “a highly advanced maneuver,” she said.
Hobbs was previously reported as being from Vancouver, Wash.
