Popular Bellevue restaurant damaged in fire
A popular Bellevue restaurant was heavily damaged in a fire early this morning.
An official with the Bellevue Fire Department said it took firefighters 30 minutes to bring the fire at Lil Jon Restaurant and Lounge under control.
The fire was reported at 1:39 a.m. when a janitor reported seeing smoke filling the building and coming from the roof.
The first firefighters on the scene quickly called for additional assistance leading to six engines responding from departments around the area.
Lil Jon’s is a popular Eastside restaurant located in the 3000 block of Southeast Eastgate Way.
There are no reports of injuries, and investigators have not determined a cause yet. Damage is estimated at $475,000.
