School group banned over hazing Kenmore student
A hazing incident involving a Kenmore student has led the Northshore School District to ban a non-sanctioned group of Inglemoor High School seniors known as the “Naked Viks” who cheered at Viking football games.
KIRO reports Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives are investigating an incident where a junior who was invited to join the group was blindfolded and beaten Monday night at a park. Neighbors called police when they heard screaming.
The boy said he didn’t tell the other students to stop beating him because he wanted to be initiated into the group.
School district spokeswoman Leanna Albrecht says it has warned Inglemoor students about hazing and is cooperating with investigators.
