Tuesday Memo: Raped, disregarded … Game platform poll … Naked hiker

She was raped, but the cops didn’t believe her: A Lynnwood woman told police she had been raped back in 2008, but claims they bullied her into recanting her story. They were wrong, and now she has sued. In the suit, she claims among other things that police made sure she entered an at-risk youth program where she had to stand before others in the group and say she was a liar. She was just 18 at the time.

Xbox One, Sony Playstation 4 coming to a store near you. Microsoft’s newest version of the Xbox and Sony’s new and improved Playstation 4 were given center stage at the E3 conference in Los Angeles yesterday, and while they have a host of new bells and whistles, they are pricey: Xbox One: $500. Sony Playstation 4: $399. What’s been your preference of late, Xbox or Playstation? Vote in our poll.

Naked hiker still missing: The Vancouver woman who went naked on a spiritual quest into the forests of Southwest Washington Sunday remains missing this morning. Dogs were used in the search yesterday, to no avail.

Fire in semi-truck on West Seattle freeway this morning: The fire fully engulfed the cab, but the driver got out with no injuries. Likely caused quite a stir for early commuters.

OK folks, can we move on, please? The story of the big-chested Silverdale teen who was humiliated at her prom has remained among the most-read stories for days now.
