1 dead in house fire at Graham

One person was found dead Wednesday morning in a Graham house fire that is being classified as suspicious.

Firefighters found one victim while extinguishing a fire in a house at the 19300 block of 89th Avenue East around 6:30 a.m., said Steve Richards, assistant chief of Graham Fire and Rescue. Both the fire and the death have been labeled suspicious.

The origin of the fire is unknown, but it looks like it may have started in multiple places, Richards said. The interior was heavily gutted by smoke and damaged by water.

Neighbors said police had been called to the home because of bizarre outbursts by a man who lived there.
